Part of Interflora’s extensive network of talented flower experts has received recognition after a branch of florists in Edinburgh became the first from Scotland to join the coveted Guild of Master Craftsmen’s Quality by winning a coveted Service Award.

The White Petal Company, based in Edinburgh, is the sixth florist ever to have been recognised by the guild for the levels of craftsmanship, skill and quality customer service.

The florist is part of the Interflora network of florists, which creates and delivers floral displays for flower lovers all over Europe, boasting some of the finest florists in Glasgow and Edinburgh amongst its members.

George Sirrell, owner of The White Petal Company, expressed his surprise and delight at being invited to join the likes of car manufacturer Rolls Royce in the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

He said: “It was a great surprise to receive a telephone call from The Guild of Master Craftsmen’s Chief Assessor of Scotland.

“The nomination to the Guild was for the quality and service that we have been providing over the years and this was made even more special as we had been nominated by our customers, which we were unaware of.

“We are very proud to now belong to an organisation that includes companies such as Harrods, Rolls Royce and Jenners amongst its members.”

Scotland is a nation blessed with beautiful wild flowers and the country’s heritage is being upheld superbly by the flowers Kilmarnock florists, Aberdeen florists and others all over Scotland are picking and crafting into beautiful creations for to grateful customers every day.

The White Petal Company has risen to the top of the pile in Scotland and has met the Guild of Master Craftsmen’s criteria, which state that service providers should “care about their customers and the service they receive” and strive to improve as they grow.
